Put Some Bold in Your Old

This is our first blog! I am sure that younger generations will smirk at us, but we are excited to take up more space on the Internet, and to now officially take up some space on the historic Magazine Street as well. We are moving from downtown New Orleans to 4516 Magazine Street. It’s a little daunting to open up a space on Magazine Street during the Covid Pandemic, but in the spirit of Go-Big-or-Go-Home, we are Going Big.

Southkick is our name, and historic preservation is our game. What is historic preservation? It includes a lot of things, and we do them all. Historic preservation includes the hands-on restoration of things like art, objects, and monuments. It also includes house histories, National Register nominations, Section 106, and historic tax credits. It also includes design work for historic buildings and construction management.
